Hudson River Lights

I had not realized this, but the fireworks display here in New York City over the Hudson River was apparently the biggest in the country.

Earlier in the day, I had regretted not driving down to Maryland to be with my second family, but after this, I was glad that I stayed in the city.

Ahhh... New York, I really do love you at times.

It's weird, even though I've lived in NYC practically all my life, I've never seen the fireworks. Never really cared to fight the crowds. This year though, I saw them from a friend's apartment in Jersey and I was impressed! I just wished they lasted longer.

NYC has its moments. :)

What an amazing view you had! I used to be able to watch our city fireworks from my back porch... now we watch them from my mothers office. I hope you had a wonderful holiday!

I love fireworks. The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. It was a lame one this year, but that's partly due to the fact that my husband and I don't like each other very much. We lit a few fireworks in the back alley, then I went to a friends house to celebrate over beer, pizza, and a few more fireworks. It was lame. Next year I should plan a trip to see some sweet fireworks, eat a lot of watermelon, and a huge grilled burger. :)

New York is at the top 5 of my bucket list. I really want to go see Whitney Houston perform in time square in september. Haha. Must've been some fireworks show.
